A collection of C-UAS content curated by D-Fend Solutions
Selected news, content, incidents, and information about C-UAS, and the counter-drone world, from a D-Fend perspective, based on our vision of enabling a flourishing and secure drone-powered society by safely defending against rogue drone threats.
Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Lance Landrum stressed the importance of staying ahead of the threat…taking new approaches… Detecting an inbound threat…and stopping a single drone or a swarm of drones will take a leap in technology…. “they can exploit gaps and seams in traditional air defense systems in ways that traditional offensive systems haven’t in the past,” Landrum said.
While challenges persist, progress is being made…. D-Fend Solutions has EnforceAir, which allows operators to neutralize enemy drones by detecting them and taking them over.”
D-Fend Solutions’ cyber-takeover technology aims to provide full control, safety, and continuity during rogue drone incidents. The company’s core offering, EnforceAir, addresses the most dangerous drone threats in military, public safety, airport, prison, major event, critical infrastructure, and other environments.
The updated EnforceAir2 includes several refined improvements that have been introduced throughout the year. Key enhancements focus on user interface (UI) features, expanded detection and mitigation coverage, and improved deployment on naval vessels.
D-Fend Solutions has expanded its U.S. leadership team with the appointment of Gordon Kesting as vice president of U.S. sales and business development and Glenn McArthur as business development manager.
Both executives bring extensive industry experience and will help the company dominate the counter-unmanned aerial system sector through its U.S. operations, sales and partnerships.
Drones have increasingly become a danger to citizens. Their proliferation, their small size and the difficulty in detecting them complicate the work of the State security forces and agencies, which is why they must resort to sophisticated solutions capable of creating safe aerial environments.
As such, the Spanish Air Force has awarded Target Tecnología a second contract for the EnforceAir2 C-UAS anti-drone system, manufactured by D-Fend Solutions. The first award for the acquisition of EnforceAir2, took place at the end of last year, 2023; now, with this new tender, the confidence and satisfaction achieved with the operation of the system is reinforced.

In response to the rapid growth in demand for the organization’s solutions, D-Fend Solutions recently bolstered the US Team with defense and homeland security industry veterans. One of these veterans is Glenn McArthur, so leads the company's business development efforts in the USA.
Long before joining D-Fend Solutions, Glenn graduated with a degree in criminal justice from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, and then he began his career in federal law enforcement with the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) in 1999 in San Diego, California.
Throughout his career, Glenn held numerous leadership positions in the San Diego and Rio Grande Valley (Texas) Sectors on the U.S. southern border, and at USBP Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Glenn has also held interagency leadership positions on a DHS - Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) task force and liaison to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Special Operations Division.
He concluded his 25-year career with the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) C-UAS Program. In his role as head of C-UAS intelligence and operations, he was responsible for informing USBP leadership and the interagency on the nefarious drone threat facing USBP agents and operations, deploying C-UAS technology to the field, training C-UAS operators, and staying informed on current trends and technology solutions. In addition, he led teams of CBP C-UAS operators supporting the protection of major sporting events and mass gatherings.
"Now, at D-Fend Solutions, I’m working with others on the team here to grow and expand our presence in the U.S. market and provide our partners with the most trustworthy technology for their counter-drone challenges."
When he’s not building new partnerships and helping customers to contend with drone threats, Glenn enjoys spending time with his wife, hiking, paddle boarding, attending sporting events, and concerts.

EnforceAir2 Long-Range Directional Deployment Kit
Vast expanses, such as airports and borders, require long-distance coverage.
Fears of a drone colliding with a plane, or being used for a terror attack, have many airport security teams searching for suitable counter-drone technologies. Securing airports and controlling the risk of another drone-related closure, interruption or terror attack is crucial. Some mitigation methods – such as jamming or kinetic – are not suitable for airports, as they may disrupt necessary navigation and communication systems or cause collateral damage.
International border surveillance and protection requires an effective and proven counter-drone solution to detect, track and take over unauthorized drones involved in smuggling contraband, human trafficking, or surveillance. Existing communication signals operating on the same frequency bands (Wi-Fi and point-to-point communications) could be adversely affected by some types of counter-drone measures.
