A collection of C-UAS content curated by D-Fend Solutions
Selected news, content, incidents, and information about C-UAS, and the counter-drone world, from a D-Fend perspective, based on our vision of enabling a flourishing and secure drone-powered society by safely defending against rogue drone threats.
Governments at all levels, as well as law enforcement, need close coordination and an eye on emerging threats to keep spectators and athletes safe. Route Fifty published an insightful article on the drone threat to major events, and actions and policies taken by state and local governments in response. D-Fend solutions was interviewed for its thoughts on the nature of the various drone risks to events, the advantage and importance of gaining control over hostile drones, and the need to always stay one step ahead of changing drone technologies and associated dangers.
In this article published by SAE Media Group, Yaniv Benbenisti, President, D-Fend Solutions, reviews various advanced Cyber C-UAS topics to provide a comprehensive understanding of RF cyber technology’s capabilities when compared to other C-UAS technologies in the context of certain critical issues: False Detections, Drone Type Coverage, Limitations, especially against new drone technologies, and Swarms.
D-Fend Solutions was recently featured as a company revolutionizing security, transforming the homeland security landscape, and helping protect critical infrastructure and ensure public safety.
An experienced geomatics and geographic information systems (GIS) professional, Chris joined D-Fend two and a half years ago, and has brought an in-depth perspective on planning, collecting, and analyzing unmanned aerial systems (UAS) data. After serving six years in the Canadian Armed Forces, Chris worked many years in the Canadian oil and gas sectors, developing remote sensing workflows using drones for aerial surveying and mapping.
He is a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) flight reviewer, per the Transport Canada, the country’s government ministry responsible for transportation policies and programs. At D-Fend, Chris delivers EnforceAir’s technical demonstrations, remaining current and updated with national and global drone product manufacturing, events, and threats.
“What I enjoy the most at product demo occasions is noticing our attendees’ energy and enthusiasm for the product after observing the EnforceAir system in action. I am engaged in supporting our customers with operational and deployment support and training new system operators.”
Chris was D-Fend’s first Canadian employee. He was attracted to the company’s Pre-Sales position, given its role in supporting the unique, unmatched, cyber detection and mitigation system capabilities of EnforceAir, which offers a best-in-class counter unmanned aerial systems solution.
“I am always amazed by the huge efforts the company makes into research and development to stay ahead of drone threats.”
