Matthew Portanova helps defense and public safety agencies adopt and use D-Fend Solutions’ counter-drone technology. As Senior Director of Customer Success, U.S., he works closely with customers to help ensure EnforceAir meets their operational needs in the field.
Before joining D-Fend, Matthew began his career in the U.S. Army and progressed through leadership roles at Dataminr, Booz Allen Hamilton, Mark43, and Street Smarts VR, giving him a broad perspective on supporting public safety and defense organizations with innovative technologies.
Matthew is especially motivated by solving practical problems for the teams on the ground. “I’m driven by helping customers make complex, high-stakes deployments successful through honest communication and a clear focus on what they need,” he says.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys running (slowly), reading historical fiction and non-fiction, and watching the Yankees (when they don’t lose). He also spends his free time cheering on his son and daughter, and correcting misperceptions about New Jersey.
