Explore D-Fend's collaboration with the U.S. Navy and advancements in AI-driven drone defense in our
November newsletter.
Selected news, content,
incidents, and information about C-UAS, and the counter-drone world, from a D-Fend
perspective, based on our vision of enabling a flourishing and secure drone-powered
society by safely defending against rogue drone threats.
In the face of escalating threats posed by
unauthorized drones, airports require sophisticated defense mechanisms that are
effective, safe, non-disruptive and conform with evolving and varying global
requirements.
"D-Fend Solutions has risen to the
challenge" with its EnforceAir2 system, earning recognition in the 2024 GlobalData
Plc Airport Technology Excellence Awards with the Innovation award for Detection
Systems.

technology"
EnforceAir System Set for Extensive
Evaluation in Airport Environments under Cooperative Research Program
The testing program aims to evaluate
EnforceAir’s effectiveness in detecting, tracking, and identifying drones in
real-time when airspace regulations are violated.
The collaboration will focus on rigorous
testing of D-Fend’s C-UAS technology across Department of Defense and Department of
Homeland Security test sites.
EnforceAir will be deployed to gather
continuous data on drones that breach airspace regulations, aiming to enhance drone
mitigation and airport security capabilities.
Martin
Broomhead, D-Fend Solutions’ UK Managing Director, gives his expert opinion on
AI-powered drone capabilities and their C-UAS implications, limitations of traditional
countermeasures, cyber mitigation for AI-enable drones, and the future of AI-enhanced
drone cybersecurity.
Article covers the constantly evolving
nature of the UAS threat and the need for C-UAS technology to keep pace, the
importance of flexibility in deployments and configuration, advantages and
disadvantages of traditional detection and mitigation technologies, the promise of
new generation RF Cyber C-UAS, the emerging consensus around a multi-layered
approach with multiple complementary technologies, and the urgent need for quick
deployment.
In this interview, D-Fend Solutions CEO
Zohar Halachmi shares details on company objectives, the approach to enhancement of
mission safety, strategic advantages, integrations, the strategic role in future

EnforceAir’s API is periodically updated to ensure effective and holistic data
sharing with connected, multi-layered C2 systems.
The latest version of
EnfoceAir2 software features an upgraded API, which includes strengthened support
for the exchange of information with external command and control (C2) systems in
real time. Also, the upgraded API comes with additional feeds into the EnforceAir2
SDR to facilitate tagging of large numbers of authorized drones for the control of
airspaces that may contain thousands of drones operating as a baseline.
