The Intersec Expo has been around for more than 20 years, addressing issues facing world-leading emergency services, security, and safety. This year, the event hosted more than 40,000 people, from 131 countries, discussing a range of topics regarding commercial & perimeter security, homeland & policing, fire & rescue, safety & health, and cyber security. This year, the event emphasized homeland security.
This was the first time D-Fend exhibited at Intersec, and it was a great opportunity to meet security professionals and officials from around the world, addressing relevant counter-drone topics. We showcased EnforceAir to an intensely interested global audience.
At the Expo, our booth was busy, attracting attention from many attendees, including customers and potential partners. Many were very interested to see EnforceAir, our flagship anti-drone solution, and hear about its unique capabilities and features. In many discussions, we heard concerns about the limitations of traditional counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS), and were impressed at how EnforceAir can overcome these drawbacks with a next-generation approach for detection and mitigation, particularly in sensitive environments.
During the event, I had the opportunity to be a speaker at the Tech Stage, where I was able to discuss recent developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, and how that’s advancing next-generation cyber C-UAS systems. As we discussed the future of C-UAS, we addressed the importance of balancing security and safety in the counter-drone field.
In addition to positive engagement with attendees, the highlight of the event for D-Fend was when EnforceAir was awarded the Intersec Homeland Security Product of the Year, further validating its position as the leading cutting-edge, advanced solution in the counter-drone industry. Howard Leedham MBE, MSc., a 2023 Intersec Award Juror and an Aviation and Security Expert Consultant, former UK Special Forces Officer and former Royal Navy Commando Pilot, stated that D-Fend “developed a product that not only has a wide bandwidth of capture from potentially hostile drones, but also they’ve developed technology that can take control of that drone and send it to a safe place. The company is well deserved of this award.”
I was proud to join Amit Haimovich, our VP Sales, on stage at the prestigious gala event to receive the trophy on behalf of D-Fend Solutions.
Our presence was enhanced by joint participation with our local partner, Mr. Sheban Naim, Managing Director of SANAD Academy, in the United Arab Emirates. The SANAD Academy is one of the first drone training facilities in the region endorsed by the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA).
Our participation at Intersec was a great success, where our cyber RF counter-drone solution stood out as a smart approach to overcome the threat of unauthorized drones. Our differentiated technology and innovative approach are making a big impact in the world of counter-drone security. We look forward to engaging with more professional audiences across the world.
